Note: If you purchased NoteBook from the Circus Ponies Online Store, NoteBook’s Check for a New Version command may not report the very latest version available, but you can always download it from the downloads page.
Note: Because of bug in Mac OS X Lion it is not currently possible to clip PDFs from the Print sheet to a Notebook page. Apple is aware of the issue and says they hope to address it in a future OS X update.

- The Ink toolbar item menu now contains a command to turn off stroke smoothing, so that mouse and stylus strokes appear as they did before 3.1.
- When you tap the ink toolbar item to cycle through the pen modes, and the next mode is handwriting recognition, you will now only see one warning about handwriting recognition being turned off.
- Fixed a bug where NoteBook would throw exceptions if you Reverted a Notebook while editing an item.
- Fixed a bug with voice annotation when running NoteBook in Japanese.
- Fixed a problem where NoteBook would sometimes take a noticeable amount of time to start up if you have a lot of clipping services.

- Improved error recovery when looking up contact information in AddressBook for contact stickers. The best way to add contacts to a Notebook is by dragging them from Address Book rather than by dragging vcards into a Notebook (the latter method is not guaranteed to succeed, even though it might appear to at first).
- Fixed a bug where table row heights would be too large if a numbering style was assigned to the table header row.
- Fixed a bug where using the stylus eraser to erase a scribble would sometimes fail.
- Fixed a bug where creation, change and due date sorting ignored the time associated with items.

Changes in NoteBook 3.0.1 (v450)
- Fixed a bug with how NoteBook saves font and color information in certain situations. This fix modifies the NoteBook file format slightly, but enough that Notebooks saved in v450 or higher on Mac can only be opened in v450 or higher on iPad (and vice versa). Earlier versions of NoteBook will fail to open these documents. iPad users – please upgrade to the latest version of NoteBook for iPad, available from the App Store.

- When exporting as a website to MobileMe, NoteBook now places the results in your MobileMe Web/Sites folder if that path exists, and provides a web.me.com URL. If the Web/Sites folder does not exist, NoteBook places the results in your MobileMe Sites folder and provides a mac.com URL as before. Note that it is not possible for a MobileMe user to create the Web/Sites path – please refer to Apple help document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2637.

It turns out the Notebook window was not set to display sticky notes, so the sticky notes are present, just not visible. Choosing View -> Stickies and Flags and then saving fixes the problem.
- Made a change that should fix the problem of sticky notes sometimes not staying permanently removed after dragging them away from their page. If you have a Notebook that exhibits this problem, the ghost sticky notes may reappear one more time, but dragging them from their page and saving should remove them for good.
